Native of the northern hemisphere, the Climbing Roses are perennial shrubby plants, famous, above all, for the beauty of their flowers and, because of this, they are cultivated mainly as ornamental plants, both in vase and in garden. The stems, thorny and very branched, make these roses very suitable to decorate arcades, arcs, walls and partitions.
According to the variety the flowering period of these roses, can vary from the late Spring to the beginning of Summer and in Autumn. The colors of these roses are so many and can satisfy all the tastes: white, red, pink, blue.
The Climbing Roses bear both rigid that elevated temperatures, but their favorite climate is the moderate one. According to the variety, they require of a sunny exposure or of shaded zones. These roses are not difficult to be cultivated and they don't require particular cares and attentions. Their favorite ground is calcareous, rather fecund, well drained and with a middle mixture.
